Job Description:	Our client, a top-tier retailing giant, is seeking a Legal counsel in their legal department responsible for the whole China area. This role will report directly to the Legal Director of China and mostly get involved in real estate, FDI and other general corporate pratices. They prefer candidates with law firm experiences (in retailing industry).Their budget is around 10K/month. The detailed JD is as follows: Based in Shanghai, the Legal Counsel will report to the Legal Director of China. S/He will have direct accountability for all legal matters impacting the businesses in China. This position will involve drafting in English and Chinese, and negotiation of various commercial contracts, including leases, joint venture agreements, purchase agreements, etc.. Public relations and interface with the Chinese government will also comprise a key responsibility. With around 20 stores, this individual will also be required to provide support on day-to- day operation matters as well as employment affairs. It is expected that this individual will have a solid understanding of the local legal and commercial landscape, and establish a strategic network of legal and government relationships for the company in China. This individual will also act as an advisor together with the legal dept to the top Manager on structural, operational as well as commercial issues. S/He will need to deal with legal entity, trading, sales, real estate, retail, landlord, customer, and employee issues. Qualification Requirement: - Good legal education background, Bachelor or Master degree in Law; - At least five years legal practice experience - Proficient English speaking, reading & legal writing skills. - Sound knowledge and experience at real estate field - Strong professional integrity and ethics; - Hard working and honest; - Good communication skills and teamwork
